China explained why the sky turned red in one province Everyone thought the apocalypse had arrived
The other day, frightening clips from Zhoushan Province in China have appeared on the Web. On them, you can see that the sky is colored red. Ordinary people could not explain this phenomenon. The local meteorological bureau has now put forward its own version.
“I have never seen anything like this before. It really amazes me that the sky can turn red,” says one eyewitness. Though it all looks like the apocalypse, meteorologists offered a simple explanation. The fact is that it was foggy and cloudy and drizzling rain in Zhoushan province on Saturday. The low-level clouds could have reflected the light coming from the ship’s lights in the port.
Specialists explained that under the right weather conditions, aerosols form in the atmosphere, which refract and scatter the light of the fishing boats and create a red sky.
