The Masked Singer caused controversy, as Rudy Giuliani was revealed as Jack Out of the Box on Wednesday in the final departure of a Fox singing contest contestant, and one judge in particular was visibly unhappy.
Giuliani’s revelation was welcome, as footage of his exit episode made headlines back in February. For his latest song, the former New York mayor and former President Donald Trump’s legal team member performed “Bad to the Bone” while exposed.
The show’s judges were stunned by the revelation, with Nicole Scherzinger quietly asking, “Is that Robert Duvall?” to which Ken Jeong categorically replied, “No, that’s not Robert Duvall.”
Robin Thicke said with a smile, “It’s definitely something I would never have guessed.”
Host Nick Cannon told a contestant, “Mr. Giuliani, with all the controversy surrounding you right now, I think we’re all surprised that you’re here on The Masked Singer.
The politician replied: “Me too!” before explaining, “I think the main reason is that I just had a granddaughter, Grace, and I want her to know that you have to try everything, even things that are completely unlike you and unlikely.”
Chon could be seen with crossed arms and a straight face as Giuliani spoke. After Giuliani began singing his farewell performance, Jung could be heard saying “I’m done” and then walking off the set.
