Not enough space on your device

If you’re unable to install WhatsApp because you don’t have enough space on your device, try clearing your Google Play Market cache and data:

  • Open Settings on your device, then tap Apps and Notifications > Google Play Market > App Details > Storage > CLEAR CACHE.
  • Tap CLEAR DATA > OK.
  • Restart your device, then try installing WhatsApp again.
  • If you still can’t install WhatsApp, try the following:
  • Delete data and apps that you no longer use.
  • Move the data and apps to an external SD card.
  • Clear cached data by going to Phone Settings > Apps and Notifications > WhatsApp > Storage > Clear Cache > Clear Storage.

We recommend that you free up at least 1GB of space to install or update apps.

Note. If you delete photos, voice messages, or videos on WhatsApp, you will no longer be able to view or listen to them.
